Reports to: Care Coordinator

Location: The Service User's home,within our service area.

Working Hours: 5 days over a 7-dayperiod, with varying shift patterns as agreed with the Care Coordinator.

 

Role Overview

As a Support Worker at Henola Careyou will provide compassionate, person-centred care to clients in their ownhomes. You will support people with the tasks of daily living, enabling them tomaintain their independence, dignity and quality of life. This is a role thatdemands kindness, reliability and genuine commitment to the people you support— and in return offers the reward of knowing you are making a real differenceevery day.

 

Key Responsibilities
Direct Care & Support

•       Support Service Users with allaspects of daily living, including personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming,eating and mobility — always in line with their individual Care Plan

•       Ensure Service Users are at theheart of care delivery, with their wishes and preferences consistentlyrespected and upheld

•       Enable Service Users to maintainskills, personal interests and social connections wherever possible

•       Maintain and develop relationshipswith family members and friends, where desired by the Service User

Record Keeping

•       Maintain accurate, up-to-date CarePlans and care records in accordance with Henola Care policy

•       Report any changes in the needs orcondition of a Service User to the Care Coordinator promptly

Safeguarding

•       Promote and safeguard the welfareof all individuals you support

•       Recognise and report anysituations where there may be a need for protection or a safeguarding concern

Team & Professional Standards

•       Develop effective workingrelationships with colleagues and members of the wider multidisciplinary team

•       Act as a role model and ambassadorfor Henola Care at all times

•       Attend all mandatory training andany additional training as directed by management

•       Commit to achieving the relevantqualifications commensurate with the role

•       Follow all policies and proceduresrelevant to the role and remain open to learning and development opportunities
